Back in the day I studied Product Design in Bolzano Italy in the early 2000s. During my studies I got more and more into 3d-cg imagery than actual Product Design.
After that I ventured into commercials, the film- and animated film industry. There I worked since 2008 as a 3d Artist, Visual Effects Supervisor, Compositing Supervisor, DoP, Pipeline Architect and Technical Director at various companies. My last two gigs where at Accenture Song, where I worked as a VFX Supe and TD for the commercial department in Hamburg for over 8 years and Telescope Animation Studios GmbH for 2,5 years, where I managed “The last Whale Singer” an animated feature film, as the main Technical Director.

Python | The glue in vfx and animation, what todo without it ? |

Qt for Python | I really like Qt and use it a lot, though I might use it in the same fashion all the time… models, views |

Git | A bit like Qt, I am solid in everything I need it for. Fan of Gitops too, though never used it in production. |

Aswf REZ | Just love rez, though to be fair I tend to use it just to manage different python, variants and deps. |

Aswf OTIO | Big fan of OTIO, hopefully this will become the editorial exchange format of the future. |

ftrack | Wrote the commercial pipe at Mackevision around ftrack and at TAS a feature film pipe in unreal. |

flow production tracking | Wrote a feature film pipe at Studio Rakete around Shotgun and Tank around 2013ish for Two by Two. Continued there till 2016. |

Nuke | My Bread and Butter, as an Artist and as a TD, sort of home… |

Unreal | Made around 900 Shots in Unreal for the last Whale Singer at TAS, was it easy ? Nope. Was it an experience and a learning ? 100%. |

3dsmax | Yes, I know max, not that I used it lately, but 3.5 was my first 3d dcc I ever opened. |

Maya | Definitely not a full fledged Maya TD, still I know my way around. |

Premiere Pro | Hacked the hack out of the fantastic pymiere project, still like davinci more. |
